Ben - Mississauga (Dundas and Mississauga Road)/ Oakville (Dundas and Winston Churchill) Specialties: Endurance Sport Specialist, Body Composition Change/ Analysis Specialist, Lifestyle Management, Emotional/ Stress Eating, Weight lifting, Team Sports, Media/ Public Speaking and Education, Chronic Disease Management, Weight Loss Ben is the Owner, Founder and President of Evolved Sport and Nutrition. Ben is a Registered Dietitian and Sports Dietitian. He received his education from Ryerson University’s School of Nutrition and graduated his Dietetic Internship from the Sunnybrook Dietetics Internship Program in 2010. He received a Sports Dietitian Certificate from the Sports Dietitians of Australia and is currently pursuing Ryerson’s Physical Activity Assessment and Promotion certificate program and the International Olympic Committee’s Sports Nutrition Diploma. This combination of the world of Nutrition and Dietetics along with Physical Activity and Exercise is what makes Ben's interventions truly unique and customized.
Ben is also an athlete himself. When he’s not training for his next marathon, bike race, lifting weights or doing cross-fit workouts he’s busy cooking up a storm developing recipes for athletes. Ben has worked with athletes from every end of the spectrum, from weekend warriors aiming to complete their first marathon to nationally ranked professional athletes to olympic gold medalists and even celebrities! He specializes in endurance events and weight lifting but is more than qualified to work with any sport and medical conditions. He also trained as a Chef and a Pastry Chef in a number of Restaurants and Hotels across Toronto before combining the culinary world with dietetics and sport. He continues to travel the world, studying different cultures, cuisines and cooking styles in order to best serve his clients.
Kevin completed his Bachelors degree at the University of Guelph in Applied Human Nutrition. While in school, Kevin wrestled for the U of G varsity team, winning both an individual national title and captaining the team to a 3rd place finish. Following graduation, Kevin competed on the National Team for several years, highlighting his career with a 5th place finish at the University World Championships, and was the runner up at the 2016 Greco Roman Olympic Team Trials. Kevin is a Registered Dietitian, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and a Coach. Kevin completed the National Coaching Certification Program’s (NCCP) Multisport modules at the Competition Development level, as well as Competition Introduction Wrestling and Weightlifting modules. Kevin has worked with teams and organizations such as the Toronto Swim Club, Softball Ontario, U of G Varsity Football team, Guelph Triathlon club – Regional Training Centre, Kitchener Waterloo Football Club, Upright Rugby Canada, Swimming Science, and Mavericks Waterpolo club. He has also focused his services on the combat sport world, working with the Ontario Amateur Wrestling Association, Guelph Wrestling Club, Discipline Martial Arts, and Battle Arts Academy. In addition to working hands on with elite athletes and teams,Kevin is a part-time professor at Sheridan College in the Fundamentals of Fitness Leadership program as part of the Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies. Kevin teaches courses on nutrition, exercise technique, health and wellness, program design, and physical activity in special populations. Kevin has also lectured for the NCCP’s Advanced Coaching Diploma program. Kevin draws upon his experience as an elite athlete, combined with a strong academic understanding, formal training as a dietitian and strength and conditioning specialist, and competent coaching ability to develop athletes to their fullest potential.
