Gelaine - Website and Content Manager 

Gelaine finished her undergraduate program with honours in Food and Nutrition at Ryerson University in 2016. As a recent graduate, she is broadening her knowledge about nutrition and dietetics. She appreciates the aspect of lifestyle management, especially on understanding ways to make realistic and doable changes with positive long-term outcomes. Although she is not a trained athlete, she enjoys physical activity like yoga and strength training workouts. When she has free time, she often browses through relevant websites to stay updated on nutrition-related news, current healthy food trends and recipes. When she becomes an RD, she plans to use digital media to advocate for the significance of nutrition, dietetics, and lifestyle management in shaping healthier individuals.

Megan - Social Media Coordinator

Megan is going into her final year in Nutrition and Food at Ryerson and she aspires to become a Registered Dietitian. As a student athlete on the Ryerson Ultimate Team she understands the importance nutrition has on physical performance.

Megan has been active as a young child swimming competitively for 12 years and picking up ultimate frisbee more recently. She has competed provincially with her ultimate team and hopes to continue to play competitive ultimate into masters age. She looks to gain knowledge and insight working with ESN as well as help promote healthy active lifestyles.

Stacey

Stacey is a recent graduate from the Food and Nutrition program at Ryerson University and her future goal is to become a Dietitian. She joined Evolved Sport and Nutrition as a volunteer, to gain further knowledge of the field of dietetics though nutrition communication in the digital space. 
​
She has a great passion for cooking and baking and she is continuously trying out and developing recipes with a healthy twist. She understands the value of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Thus, fitness is of great importance to her. She enjoys participating in group fitness activities such as badminton, basketball and Zumba. She hopes to use her experiences to enrich ESN’s online audience with nutrition and fitness tips that will enable them to live a healthier and balanced lifestyle.

Haroula

Haroula is going into her fourth year as a student athlete at Ryerson University. She is studying Nutrition and Food, as well as competing as a member of Ryerson’s Varsity Women’s Volleyball Team. 

Haroula has been very active from an early age, competing in soccer, dance and volleyball, as well as other recreational sports through school teams. Her deep passion for nutrition, exercise and overall health developed throughout her later years of high school, which is why she is now studying in hopes of becoming a Registered Dietitian in the field of Sport Nutrition. She wishes to work with individuals and teams to help guide them in achieving their specific goals through overall healthy lifestyle management. Haroula enjoys incorporating these passions of hers into her own daily life by preparing healthy meals and recipes, which as an athlete, complement her love for high-intensity training and exercise.

Michaela 

​Michaela is a third year Nutrition and Food student at Ryerson University. She is volunteering with Evolved Sport and Nutrition to gain an understanding of the field and receive valuable mentorship. She is striving to become a Registered Dietitian through obtaining a master’s degree in hopes of practicing in the field of Sports Nutrition.
 
Michaela’s interest in Sports Nutrition developed as a result of her passion for athletics. She has competed at both provincial and national levels in volleyball. She is an avid promoter of a healthy, active and balanced lifestyle. In her spare time she enjoys exercising at local gyms, yoga studios and in the water through yogata. Michaela aspires to help people achieve their health goals through the use of both exercise and nutrition.

Terence

Terence is a second year Food and Nutrition student at Ryerson University. His current goal is to become a versatile health care professional and as a result has chosen to join the Evolved Sport Nutrition team. He also hopes to gain practical, hands on experience in the emerging world of sport nutrition. His future
goals include graduating with a Masters degree in the Applied Nutrition and integrated dietetics
internship program; as well as obtaining a CDR in Sports Nutrition.

Terence has a keen interest in the field of Sports Nutrition which developed from his previous degree in
Kinesiology as well as his professional certification as an exercise physiologist. Utilizing his background
knowledge in fitness and sport performance, Terence hopes to further develop his skills beyond exercise
training and into complete lifestyle management for athletes. After long days of studying and
volunteering, Terence enjoys traveling Toronto in search of hidden restaurant gems in pursuit of the
best eating experiences in the city.

Melissa 

Melissa has just completed her BASc at the University of Guelph in Applied Human Nutrition. As a recent graduate, she is looking to broaden her experience in the sports and nutrition field as she works towards getting her Personal Trainer Certification and becoming a Registered Dietitian. In the future, she hopes to work with athletes and Olympians to reach their ultimate goals. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, going on nature walks and strength training at the gym. She hopes to promote living a healthy and well-balanced lifestyle in all aspects to ESN’s audience

Chewbacca 

Chewbacca is ESN's official mascot. Not only does he help to keep morale high but he also helps Ben train.  You may see Ben and Chewy running together downtown Toronto or doing agility/ sprint training at a park.  Either way, Chewy keeps the atmosphere at ESN fun and in good spirits.  You may even see and meet Chewy at some ESN events.  When you do, you'll see how he can always bring a smile to your face.
