Start your New Year and New Decade off with a completely different approach! One that works on your understanding, education and relationship with food! This virtual challenge is designed to focus on:
- How to create a healthy food environment
- Recognizing, understanding and controlling your food habits and behaviours
- Education about functional foods
- Choosing the right supplements to optimize your health
- Learning how to design and create your own meal plan to match your busy lifestyle
- How to fuel your mind and body
- Understanding your hunger cues and the many influences on your hunger and appetite (eg Hormones, environment, relationship with food etc)
This challenge is designed and delivered by Vanessa Philips, our Nutritional Therapist. Vanessa will receive and answer your questions throughout the challenge! Here's a full breakdown of what each will will cover!
Week 1 - Setting yourself up for Success (How to set and maintain goals, How to prepare for the challenge, How to create a healthy food environment to set you up for success!)
Week 2 - Building Success (How to recognize and understand your eating habits, how to portion your food, Understanding different types of hunger)
Week 3 - Questions and Check In (Answering and addressing the barriers that are holding you back from success)
Week 4 - A Focus on Functional Foods (How to make healthier food choices, Understanding Antioxidants and Micronutrients, Understanding how the season and enviornment changes your nutrition needs)
Week 5 - Challenges and Questions Check In (Answering and addressing the barriers that are holding you back from success)
Week 6 - Supplements (Understanding how different supplements could enhance and reinvigorate your health, Choosing the best quality supplements)
Week 7 - Check In week (Answering and addressing the barriers that are holding you back from success)
Week 8 - Macronutrients (Learn how to adjust your meals to optimize your day! Learning about the importance of healthy proteins and fats!)
Week 9 - Check In Week (Answering and addressing the barriers that are holding you back from success)
Week 10 - Fueling and Eating for Energy! (Learn about energy and blood sugar balance, Healthy snacks, How to adjust your meals to optimize your physical activity and athletic goals!)
Week 11 - Final Check In Questions and Answers! (Answering and addressing the barriers that are holding you back from success)
Week 12 - Tying it all together! (Get an ebook with full recaps! Sample meal plans and recipes, How to maintain and keep your success!)
This challenge will be hosted exclusively on the ESN Website so that you can access the information whenever works best for your schedule! The challenge begins January 20th!
