Terence
Combat Sports Specialist

Specialties: Combat Sports, Sports Supplements, Chronic Disease Management, Digestive Health, Weight Loss, Body Composition Change, Weight Lifting
Terence is a master-trained, Registered Dietitian and certified exercise physiologist. He has spent over 8 years studying both nutrition, physical fitness, and the intersection between the two. His specialty lies in providing nutrition counseling for combat sport athletes with a focus on providing recommendations to compliment training and support weight-management goals. As a competing combat athlete himself, Terence often uses emerging nutrition research to investigate new ways food can fuel his needs in Brazilian Jujitsu. Terence’s goal is to help the athletes he works with feel stronger, have more endurance, and gain a competitive edge over opponents.
Terence’s practice philosophy is grounded in developing client-clinician relationships where athletes have the tools necessary to maximize their agency through collaborative interventions. He understands that nutritional science is fluid and athletes need to be able to implement strategies in a range of settings. As a result, he believes teaching clients the “why” behind recommendations empowers them to modify guidelines as needed.
